Lego my Eggo

Today in e9, we experimented with legos as a collaboration activity. We had to instruct our team members to build a certain lego figure. We had to either instruct them without speaking, or with no voice at all. It was hard to only use your voice to instruct, because I use my hands to direct actions a lot. It was easier to use my actions because I can show them how to complete the task. If all group members are completing a task correctly and efficiently, then that is called teamwork.

Website

During the past few weeks in e9 we started working with web design. I learned the basics of HTML code and also the basics of designing on Dream Weaver. It was an exciting project to do overall and may want to do some more in the future. Along with the good things, there were also some bad things that happened. I could not get some links to work and one video was not aloud to be embedded. Overall, I had a great time with this project.

Dream House

This was my favorite project so far. I love the idea that I can build or design my own style of something however I want. Making the roof was challenging, but I figured it out. Now that I know how to add small details, I want to continue making detailed structures. It was also exciting to create windows, although I did not add many details to them. Overall, this project made me want to work hard and create the best house possible.

Keynote Animation

This quarter in e9 I started the animation strand. Our first project we did was created first on Keynote, then edited on iMovie. I had a lot of fun using these two programs, especially Keynote because we had a lot of days to explore it. Overall, I am excited to see what is coming next in Animation, and I had a great experience during this first project.

1st Semester

So far in eComm I have had a lot of fun. Video and graphic design were not how I expected but actually better than I expected. The overall experience with eComm was pleasing and I am definitely staying in the program throughout the years.

Web Design

This project was not as entertaining as the photoshop and illustrator projects. I had fun with changing the colors and design of the web page just through simple text. Although I had a lot of success with this project, I also had some trouble in some cases. If you just follow the directions carefully, then you will do just fine. I bet it is hard for the "pro" web designers to remember everything that has to be done to create a simple word. Overall, web design is a very exciting thing to learn, and I want to learn more in the future.

PS Projects 1-4

 This project was the first project we did. It was the base of all that we did in photoshop. It was a little tough to do because I had never worked with this program before. It was a great starting project though because of the basics that it showed us how to do. Overall, this project was really great for our skills in this class.

 This project was easy at first when I was changing the colors of the wings. Then when I got to the part when you had to change how the wings looked at their ends, it was not cooperating with me at all. The clone stamp tool felt like it wasn't working for me but I was just using it wrong.

 With this project, I was very successful in completing it. The only problem I had was with the color behind the Northwest letters. For some reason, there was a different pattern than what I was looking for. Eventually, I got help from a friend and completed the project.

This was the final photoshop project that we did. I had a hard time with the clone stamp tool once again, and the project did not look natural after I tried to use that tool. This was perhaps the most fun, but complex project we have done in the class. I had a lot of fun using photoshop and illustrator throughout this class.
